This natural wax is excellent for a non-toxic and durable seal for JESIN objects.
Our product “SHEA SEAL” is a plant-based wax extracted from the nuts of the shea tree.
You can easily spread the wax over the surface with a microfiber cloth or your fingers and gently rub it in. The light grain of SHEA SEAL disappears once you’ve rubbed it in enough. This is a good indirect indication that the surface has been sufficiently treated (= no more grain).
This organic sealant protects your JESIN object from contaminants like dust, dirt, or coffee and red wine stains. It also protects against moisture, water droplets, or soot. However, it’s not suitable for permanent exposure to water, such as for vases.
Depending on use, the JESIN object needs to be resealed from time to time – similar to teak garden furniture 😉
